Wheaton Care Ministry: Managing Anxiety Effectively Fall 2020

This 60-minute class will begin with a description of anxiety and how it is experienced. It will then contrast the concept of control and management. From that start the presentation shifts to exploring how the anxious brain operates and how it can be beneficial or detrimental. The goal becomes to effectively manage anxiety to function well. Techniques and tools to help enhance anxiety management will be provided and demonstrated.

Presented by Dr. Ken Davison. Dr. Davison received both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. He has worked in a variety of settings and has provided individual, couple’s, family therapy, and assessment with Maudlin and Associates since 2000. He operates from a health psychology perspective that addresses key features of the physical, emotional, spiritual, and interpersonal dynamics in therapy.
