Anti-Human Trafficking Friendsgiving Day
Friendsgiving is a special term to celebrate the holidays among "friends," or other people who are passionate about the things you care about. Join other anti-human trafficking advocates at My Half of the Sky Coffee Shop in Wheaton for a chance to learn about this unique social enterprise, meet like-minded people, and then shop for special gifts to share with friends and family at the holidays.
We'll be meeting in the upper level event room and will get a chance to hear from Renee Pollino, founder of the My Half of the Sky Coffee Shop & Gift Store . Renee shares her powerful vision for empowering women who have been ensnared by trafficking. Learn how you might be able to make a difference. Once we have had our coffee and treats, take a moment to shop in their gift store, which is filled with beautiful, hand-made items made by trafficking survivors around the globe.
Transportation is on your own. The address is 121 W. Wesley Street, Wheaton, IL. All ages welcome.
