Anti-Human Trafficking Packing Event

A simple gift bag filled with small reminders of kindness can bring hope and value to those working on the streets.  Join us as we fill several hundred gift bags that are used throughout the year by partner organizations and volunteers as a friendship-building tool during community outreach events.  Each item in the bag is specially chose to convey the message that "you matter" and that God sees and understands.

Volunteers are also encouraged to donate lipstick or lip gloss to this project.  Donated items may be purchased in single or multi-pack quantities and may be brought with you to the serve, or you may drop them off in the Anti-Human Trafficking drop-box, located on a cart outside the Willow Creek South Barrington D entrance (67 E. Algonquin Rd., South Barrington, IL) anytime between October 3 to October 9.

Following the packing event on October 10th, you may also choose to take a Freedom Sticker packet with you.  Freedom Stickers provide an 800 number for those seeking escape from their traffickers.  Volunteers strategically place these stickers in convenience and gas station restrooms so that trafficking victims may find them in safety and pursue an avenue of help.  To learn more about Freedom Stickers, please view this training video here: https://youtu.be/nvfP2RtOhcQ

The Anti-Human Trafficking Team look forward to serving with you.  Please be aware, that since this is an indoor packing event, mask wearing, gloves, and social distancing will be strictly observed.  A temperature check, and an online survey will also be required as you enter the building.  Come 15 minutes early to allow time for the check-in process.  Children ages 9 and up may serve with a parent or guardian.

We look forward to serving with you!
