Refugees & Immigrants: The Plight of Teens at the Border

The plight of unaccompanied minors is a harrowing road. Join us for a meaningful discussion to learn why children flee their homes to find asylum in the United States.  Understand the many challenges of navigating the legal system and the especially precarious situation of teens at the border.  Guest speaker Corey Brost, co-founder and Executive Director of Viator House shares his journey as an advocate for unaccompanied children.

Looking for a way to help?  Every year, we support local refugees in need by collecting comforters (non-down, full or queen size--no blankets or throws) or $20 gift cards to Walmart and Target.  Drop off your gift-card or comforter with us on November 20th only, and we'll make sure they get in the right hands.
