Creek Gallery Arts Conference

The Creek Gallery Arts Conference is designed to equip and inspire our local creative community. We welcome established and emerging artists in all fields.

Early Bird registration is $25–open through midnight, August 6. Registration after that and the day of the conference is $30. Morning coffee is included. High school and college students are invited with a $10 Early Bird pricing, then $15 after August 6.

Nolan McCants: Sell Your Work Without Selling Out

Nolan W. McCants is an award winning fine art photographer whose pursuit of creative work has immersed him in diverse cultures throughouth the world, across Africa, Asia, Europe and South America.

Julianna Slager: Turning Inspiration into Action

Since Julianna Slager trained with notable companies such as Ann Arbor Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, the Vaganova Academy and Puerto Rican National Ballet; Slager's choreography has been performed at festivals and events across the Midwest, including Dance Chicago, Project Dance, Chicago International Arts Festival and Detroit City Dance Festival. Slager was awarded the Individual Artist Program Grant from the City of Chicago for recognition and continued development of her choreographic work.

Sergio Gomez: How to Talk About Your Artwork with Greater Impact

Sergio Gomez is a Chicago-based visual artist whose contributions to the art world include being Director of Exhibitions at the Zhou B. Art Center, owner and director of 33 Contemporary Gallery, and co-founder of the artist mentoring program, Artist Next Level, with Yanina Gomez. He has decades of experience as an exhibiting artist and curator, working with galleries, art exhibitions and museums locally and internationally.

Jessica Modica: How to Get Your Art into Museums

Jessica Modica is the current Executive Director of the Freeport Art Museum and former curator of the Rockford Art Museum.
